Thank you for your interest in Liberty Mountain Pediatrics! I've been a pediatrician since 1986, and I still wake up every day excited about going to work. There is nothing more satisfying to me than building lasting relationships with families while providing their children with the best medical care. Whether your child is in need of well child check ups, sick child care, anticipatory guidance, behavior and mental guidance, or all the above, it will be our privilege to serve you!
Dr. Byars is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She attended medical school at UAB and completed her residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt.
I am so excited to be a part of the Liberty Mountain Pediatrics team. I know in many ways your pediatrician becomes like part of your family, therefore, I am honored for the chance to become a part of yours. I love getting to know my patients and watching them grow.
My background is in neonatal intensive care, early childhood development, and pediatric primary and urgent care. After training under Dr. Byars, I now have the great privilege of serving you alongside her.
"We see Dr. Byars, and she is absolutely wonderful with our kids. She's always so sweet, energetic, and caring. We moved over thirty minutes away, and I still refuse to go anywhere else. We love her!"
"I've been using Dr. Byars for 27 years. She began seeing my daughter in the hospital at birth. Both of my children love going to see her. In fact, my daughter cried when she had to start seeing a new doctor when she turned eighteen! We travel an hour for her, but she and the rest of her staff are worth the time and gas."
"We recently started seeing Whitney Ford, DNP and LOVE her. She is so sweet and knowledgeable. My kiddos love her! Highly recommend!"
"We've been with Dr Byars for 8+ years and we love her along with all of her nurses and staff. She was my husband's doctor as a child – a true family doctor if there ever was one! We'll never leave her care."
